We have a fabulous 1 bedroom furnished condo off of King Street in Boone at High Country Condos. It will be available in mid-May. It is a 1 bedroom/1 bath unit and is a great cozy top end unit (so you don't have to worry about noisy people above you!) This is a wonderful location and is ideal for a grad student or anyone who wants a quiet place to live with more privacy. It has recently been remodeled and we just moved new furniture in last year. This condo has tons of space! The condo can be shared by two roommates, a grad student, or a married couple. In the bedroom, there are two possible set ups that can be arranged as you will see in the pictures below. There can be a regular full size bed, a set of bunk beds, or 2 twin size beds. The bedroom also has a large walk-in closet. It has an amazing full size kitchen with a long bar with bar stools and a nice kitchen table with chairs. The living room is furnished with a leather couch, ottoman, and an entertainment center with TV/DVD. Great location and convenient to downtown Boone and campus. Appal Cart stop and covered shelter! Located on the POP 105 and GREEN route--so a bus comes by at least every fifteen minutes with a very short ride to campus. It is also a perfect location to walk or bike to campus as well. NO PETS and NO SMOKING. Please email with questions. (There are also some bookcases in the condo that were not there when the pictures were taken--also there is a large Ikea bookcase in the bedroom that is great for organization. This complex has a HUGE lighted parking lot with tons of parking so parking is never an issue. There is a well maintained laundry facility on-site, or a very large laundromat minutes away. Utilities are not included. The water bill is always about $28 a month, and the power bill averages around $50 a month. Available around mid May. Please email with questions.

I graduated from Appalachian State in December and I need to find a sub-leaser ASAP through August 1, 2012. It is a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment, has a full kitchen, living room, and washer/dryer. It is located in a convenient location near a Wal-Mart, grocery store, and restaurants. It is also right near the hospital, so during the winter the roads are kept a lot clearer than most places. My roommate is a close friend of mine, who will begin student teaching at Watauga High School in December. She likes to have a good time but also takes her school work very seriously. The apartment is rented through Holton Mountain Rentals and rent is $440 a month, not including utilities. Holton does not allow pets in the apartment complex. I have attached some pictures of the kitchen, living room, and the bedroom with the attached bathroom that is up for rent.
